Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Apio Okafor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Okafor has chosen how i could just kill a man as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Nick Diaz has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Nick Diaz seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 17 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nick Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Apio Okafor! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Okafor moves out of range of the strikes. Okafor raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Okafor fakes the leg kick and cracks Diaz in the body. Diaz displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Okafor throws out the jab. Diaz lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Okafor at a distance.
Diaz with a hook. Okafor thuds his shin into the meat of Diaz's side. Okafor scores with a hook to the body. Diaz takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Diaz closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Diaz scores with a nice right hand.
Diaz connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Okafor momentarily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Okafor connects with an inside leg kick. Diaz lands with an uppercut that bounces Okafor off the cage and back into range. Okafor staying out of range there. Okafor steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Diaz. Diaz swings widly with a right hand
letting Okafor counter with a right hand. Diaz misses with an uppercut
and Okafor counters by clinching up. A short body shot lands from Okafor as the two fighters clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Okafor lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Okafor is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Diaz is defending well for now. Diaz fails to pull guard.
Diaz has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Diaz has had enough of the clinch but Okafor keeps him there for the moment. Okafor prevents Diaz from breaking the clinch. Diaz wants to break free but Okafor has control.
Okafor landing knees to the body.
Diaz gets control of Okafor's arms and successfully pulls guard. Diaz will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Okafor wants to stand but Diaz has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Okafor slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Diaz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diaz looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Okafor is defending well. Diaz quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Okafor has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Diaz celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
