Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Meyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dave Meyer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Alexander! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alexander scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Alexander wants to control but Meyer is keeping him busy. Meyer manages to work his way to half guard, despite Alexander's best efforts. Alexander throwing shots but Meyer is blocking nicely. Alexander thows a huge punch but Meyer dodges it nicely.
Meyer gets back to full guard.
Alexander wants to control from the top but Meyer keeps moving. Alexander throws a big elbow that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Meyer looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Alexander has picked Meyer up and slammed him! Meyer can't keep hold of the triangle and Alexander manages to pass to side control! Meyer tries to buck Alexander off but Alexander is having none of it. Meyer might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Meyer wants to control but Alexander postures up. Alexander controlling the position. Alexander landing a few strikes. Meyer prevents Alexander from improving position. Meyer tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Alexander wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Alexander goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Meyer has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Alexander but great work by Meyer. Alexander is looking for a sweep. Alexander manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alexander is staying active underneath Meyer, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Alexander manages to get to full guard.
Meyer trying to control the position from guard on top but Alexander is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Alexander lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Alexander connects with a couple of short punches. Meyer can't keep his opponent in guard - Alexander advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Alexander throwing shots but Meyer is blocking nicely. Alexander thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alexander wants to take a breather but Meyer is having none of it. Meyer regains full guard. Nicely done. Alexander throws an elbow that misses. Meyer uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Alexander's guard. Nice move by Meyer! Alexander keeping moving, preventing Meyer from controlling successfully. Alexander lands a couple of decent looking body shots there.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Meyer throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Meyer slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Meyer is looking to take a break and control but Alexander is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Alexander dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Meyer misses with a straight left. Meyer shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Alexander as he avoids it easily. Alexander rushes Meyer and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. A battle for position here, against the cage. Alexander prevents Meyer from breaking the clinch. Alexander drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Meyer gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Meyer is trying to force a seperation but Alexander has the dominant position. Alexander is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Meyer is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Alexander prevents Meyer from breaking the clinch. Meyer wants a takedown.

Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Meyer's head. Meyer tries to roll over but Alexander keeps him under control. Meyer slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Alexander looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Meyer! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Alexander showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Meyer tries to avoid it but Alexander manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Meyer to the ground. Meyer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Paul Alexander! A very excited looking Paul Alexander rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed. The defeated Dave Meyer had this to say: 'Fight Hard, Fight Well'.
