Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dj Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piotr Rasputin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez comes into the arena with WALK BY PANTERA blaring out of the sound system. Dj Sanchez could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Piotr Rasputin 's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dj Sanchez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Piotr Rasputin ! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rasputin tries to avoid it but Sanchez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rasputin to the ground. Rasputin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Rasputin shoots in and bounces Sanchez off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. We've been hearing good reports from Sanchez's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Rasputin throws a big elbow that misses. Sanchez has control of Rasputin 's left arm, preventing Rasputin from doing any damage. Rasputin is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Rasputin is looking to work some ground and pound but Sanchez has wrist control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rasputin trying to control the position from guard on top but Sanchez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sanchez working a defensive guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rasputin stopping the sweep attempt from Sanchez. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Rasputin working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Rasputin throws an elbow that misses. Sanchez uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rasputin 's guard. Nice move by Sanchez! Sanchez advances to half guard. Sanchez missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Rasputin is positioning himself well to prevent Sanchez advancing to mount. Rasputin wants to improve his position but Sanchez is controlling well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanchez not landing any meaningful shots this time. Sanchez is looking to take a break and control but Rasputin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Sanchez is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Rasputin ! Rasputin regains half guard. Sanchez trying to mount his opponent but Rasputin defends it. Rasputin actively working from the bottom here. Rasputin is defending against the submission attempts here by Sanchez.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rasputin is looking to escape. Rasputin is trying to maintain the position but Sanchez is very close to passing his half guard. Sanchez works his way into side control. Rasputin tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sanchez wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Rasputin gets back to half guard. Sanchez is pressing down on Rasputin 's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rasputin is holding on for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Rasputin is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Sanchez jumps into side control! Sanchez tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Rasputin is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Sanchez off and has taken his back! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sanchez is trying to break free.
Rasputin is trying to stick to Sanchez's back but Sanchez is turning into Rasputin . He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Rasputin 's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Sanchez. Rasputin trying to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Dj Sanchez will probably get the nod. That's time! Sanchez's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Rasputin throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Sanchez tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rasputin is in Sanchez's guard. Rasputin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Rasputin postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sanchez looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Rasputin stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Sanchez throws up his legs and catches Rasputin in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Rasputin tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Sanchez! That came out of nowhere!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Dj Sanchez! After winning the bout, Dj Sanchez thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
