Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Warner Dale!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jesus Castillo!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castillo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dale.

and Castillo counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Dale keeping full guard, as Castillo tries to pass.
Castillo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Dale's guard.
Castillo is taking a breather. Dale says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Let's hope that Castillo has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dale is refusing to be controlled, as Castillo sits in half guard.
Dale wants to control the action here but instead Castillo manages to pass to full mount!

Dale knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Castillo on the ground.
Dale is squirming around, avoiding Castillo's attempts to control the action.
Dale really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Poor strikes thrown by Castillo there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Castillo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dale is looking to escape.
Dale is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Castillo trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Dale is trying to escape the mount but Castillo keeps good control and instead manages to take Dale's back.
Dale looking very determined here, making life difficult for Castillo.

Castillo is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Dale is tapping out! This one is all over!
