Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan McManus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Rowles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McManus comes into the arena with Devil Went Down to Georgia blaring out of the sound system. Dan McManus could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Paul Rowles's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Rowles!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rowles swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Rowles misses the shot to the body.
McManus misses with a low kick.
McManus tries to clinch but Rowles is having none of it.
McManus waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Rowles.
McManus tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rowles swats him away and circles back towards the center.
McManus keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Rowles throws a hook to the side of McManus's head but McManus sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
McManus looks to land a combination but Rowles avoids it well.
Rowles moves out of range of the strikes.
Rowles throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Rowles lands a straight punch to the body, keeping McManus at a distance.
Rowles misses with an uppercut.
Rowles keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from McManus.
McManus throws a jab when Rowles was well out of range.
Rowles avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Rowles with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Rowles lands a really nice looking cross but McManus seems unphased.
McManus misses with a leg kick
and Rowles counters with an outside leg kick.
Rowles bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps McManus's head backwards.
It looks like Dan McManus has been cut.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Rowles, right into the meat.
McManus is breathing heavily.
Rowles jabs at McManus's body.
Rowles is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down McManus rather than just go for the knockout.
The fighters circle momentarily. Rowles darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Rowles throws a head kick but McManus moves out of range.
Rowles lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
McManus wants to clinch.

Rowles avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

McManus gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Rowles lands a front kick.
McManus takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Rowles throws a nice outside leg kick.

Rowles lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Rowles scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Rowles tries to bum rush McManus with a series of wild strikes but McManus uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rowles lands with a right hand.
Dan McManus's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Rowles is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round!McManus had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Rowles misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rowles connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Rowles is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Rowles fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. McManus looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Jeez, Dan McManus's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

McManus takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Rowles thuds a left hand into McManus's body.
McManus moves out of range as Rowles throws a body kick.
Rowles closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rowles lands in his opponent's guard.
Rowles controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Let's hope that Rowles has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Rowles pushes down on McManus's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
McManus flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
McManus keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Rowles trying to control the pace.
McManus wants to improve his position but Rowles is controlling well.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rowles slows the pace down in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! McManus's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
McManus scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
McManus throwing strikes but Rowles manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
McManus misses with an elbow from the bottom.
Rowles happy to just control the position for now.

Rowles is tying to control. McManus wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Rowles is keen to just control but McManus is a slippery customer.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
McManus is looking for a sweep. Rowles is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McManus throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Rowles pivots, looking for a leg kick but McManus is out of range and Rowles settles back down.
McManus lands a jab to the nose.
McManus closes the distance but Rowles moves to the side
and Rowles connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Rowles slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
McManus clinches but Rowles breaks the clinch
enabling Rowles to counter with a crisp jab.
Rowles circles away from the clinch attempt.
McManus takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Dan McManus's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
