Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nir Sosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roberto Kim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nir Sosa!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sosa fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Sosa throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Sosa turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Kim takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Sosa tries to land a front kick but Kim steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Kim tried to score with a low kick but Sosa checks it.
Nir Sosa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sosa manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kim on his heels. He'll look to pass Kim's guard now, I'm sure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kim bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sosa's guard.

Kim wants to pass the guard but Sosa is keeping the position.

Sosa utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Sosa wants to sweep here but Kim controlling him for the moment.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kim drops back looking for a leg! Sosa is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sosa manages to kick Kim off! Kim jumps back into Sosa's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Kim wants to control from the top but Sosa keeps moving.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Kim fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Kim avoids the body shot from Sosa.
Kim throws a jab but it's blocked by Sosa.
Sosa uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Kim throws a leg kick

and Sosa counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kim won't be happy with that.
Kim tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Kim is trying to control Sosa's posture but Sosa avoids it.
Kim manages to get back to half guard.
Kim is looking to control Sosa's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kim avoid being mounted?

Sosa is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kim sees it coming and defends easily.
Sosa not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Kim is trying to get back to full guard.
Kim is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Wax on Wax off 'Dojo, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kim is working hard here to advance position.
Kim moves into full guard.
Kim is trying to hold Sosa in close to prevent damage but Sosa has managed to pass into half guard.
Kim gets full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sosa wants to control from the top but Kim keeps moving.
Kim has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Sosa has passed into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Kim takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Nice jab there from Sosa.
Sosa lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Kim tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kim on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Sosa escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kim gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Kim is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Kim shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sosa sprawls well. Sosa wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kim gets slowly back to his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kim throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sosa avoids the body shot from Kim.
Sosa wants to counter with a clinch but Kim pushes him away.
Sosa throws a body shot but no joy.
Sosa blocks a head kick by Kim.
Sosa fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kim wants to land a leg kick but Sosa is out of range.
Kim tries a head kick but it misses.
Kim's corner calls for a 1-2. Kim obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Kim blocks a head kick by Sosa.
Kim appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Kim.
Kim tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sosa was well out of range. Poor timing from Kim.
Kim throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Kim does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Sosa tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Sosa throws a looping overhand right but Kim ducks down to avoid it.

Kim shoots in for a takedown but Sosa shows good takedown defense.
Sosa fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Kim doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Kim.
Sosa lands a left hand that snaps the head of Kim backwards.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Sosa keeps control of Kim as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Sosa lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Kim tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Sosa's elbow.
Kim has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Sosa is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Kim counters with a shoot takedown. Sosa fights it but they end up in guard.
Kim stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sosa swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sosa not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

And that's the end of the fight!
Nir Sosa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Sosa has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
