Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bo Sherk!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Eddie Farnsworth and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West Jr pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Sherk back to the cage. West Jr follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Sherk shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and West Jr counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Sherk thinking.
West Jr bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
West Jr cracks Sherk with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
West Jr lands with a nice body punch.
West Jr cracks Sherk with a right hand to the side of the head.
Sherk looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Sherk with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling West Jr to score with a decent uppercut.
Sherk is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
BOOM! West Jr lands a beautiful left hook that drops Sherk. Sherk tries to recover but West Jr is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Sherk lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). George West Jr!
George West Jr was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
