Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Iron Igor!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Bruno Lombardi and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Igor takes a swing at Paddon's ribcage but misses.
Paddon jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
A jab lands there for Paddon.
Paddon lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Nice sprawl there from Paddon as Igor shoots in.
Igor is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Darren Paddon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Paddon misses with a body kick.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Igor has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Paddon fakes the leg kick and cracks Igor in the body.
Paddon connects with a body shot.
Igor lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Paddon misses with a straight right.
Paddon just misses with a punch to the body.
Igor on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Paddon. Paddon obviously looking to wear him down.
Paddon scores with a jab to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Igor takes one to the chin there.

Igor throws a jab when Paddon was well out of range.
Paddon swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Igor with the counter takedown but Paddon avoids it easily.
Paddon fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Igor tries to score with a low kick but Paddon moves his leg out of the way.
Paddon misses with a wild body shot.
Igor keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Paddon.
Paddon is looking to land body kicks.
Igor with the counter takedown but Paddon avoids it easily.
An inside leg kick from Igor misses.
Paddon was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Igor shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Paddon is looking to improve his position.
Igor works his foot free and advances to mount.
Igor fails to move to back control.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Igor looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Paddon tries to buck Igor off but he can't manage it.
Paddon tries to lock up and control but Igor gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Paddon stops Igor from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Igor manages to capitalize on a mistake by Paddon to take his back!

Igor working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Paddon is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Igor has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Paddon taps out!

After winning the bout, Iron Igor thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
