Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alexandre Nieto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Sharkhausen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nieto comes to the cage accompanied by Bullet the Blue Sky. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 11 - 2, fighting out of Tokyo, Alexandre Nieto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Max Sharkhausen!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yuuki Gou and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sharkhausen throws a hook to the side of Nieto's head but Nieto sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Nieto drives through and clinches with Sharkhausen against the cage.
Sharkhausen is trying to break free.
Sharkhausen looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Sharkhausen tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Sharkhausen pushes off an throws an elbow but Nieto leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Sharkhausen scores with a nice hook to the head.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Sharkhausen has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Nieto avoids a wild elbow strike from Sharkhausen.

Sharkhausen throws a punch but it's blocked by Nieto.
Nieto lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Nieto presses Sharkhausen against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nieto tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Sharkhausen's elbow.
Sharkhausen throws a punch but it's blocked by Nieto.

Nieto turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Nieto manages to end up in side control.
Nieto scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Sharkhausen to see if he's OK.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sharkhausen is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Nieto asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Nieto looking to break Sharkhausen's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Sharkhausen remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Nieto will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Nieto is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Sharkhausen is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Nieto takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Nieto shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Sharkhausen wants to stand back up but Nieto manages to pass into side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Sharkhausen is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Nieto is controlling him well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nieto is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Nieto tries to score with some ground and pound. Sharkhausen controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Nieto's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Sharkhausen covers up after that shot from Nieto.
Nieto has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Nieto is looking for the choke from the back position but Sharkhausen is controlling his hands well.
Sharkhausen is trying to get back to his feet but Nieto has full control of the position and if anything, Sharkhausen has just worked his way into a worse spot.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Nieto is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sharkhausen can do to turn this around?

What can Sharkhausen do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Nieto controlling the position well here. Sharkhausen rolled but Nieto kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Nieto is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Sharkhausen has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Nieto has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Sharkhausen taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Nieto doesn't care though - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Alexandre Nieto!
A very excited looking Alexandre Nieto made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
