Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Krzys Soszynski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zaru Kayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zaru Kayne has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Krzys Soszynski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zaru Kayne!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soszynski has a takedown stuffed.
Soszynski closes the distance and clinches up with Kayne, looking for a takedown. Soszynski pushes Kayne against the cage but Kayne circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Zaru Kayne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Soszynski moves forwards but Kayne connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Kayne loads up on a big right hand but Soszynski slips the punch.
Kayne with a body punch. A glancing blow.

Kayne lands a head kick that stumbles Soszynski and the fighters go to the mat.


Soszynski is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Soszynski escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kayne gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Oh Soszynski is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Soszynski managing to control the position.
Soszynski seems to have got his legs back now.
Kayne is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Kayne would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Soszynski working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kayne doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kayne manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Kayne stays in close to Soszynski's body and controls the position.

Soszynski manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Kayne trying desperately to get to his feet.
Kayne tries to hold on but Soszynski pushes him away.
Kayne is trying to stand up.

Soszynski is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kayne can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Kayne is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Soszynski throws some wild stikes that Kayne manages to avoid easily.
Kayne is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Kayne slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Soszynski stops Kayne from getting back to his feet.

Kayne makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
A swing and a miss from Kayne.
Soszynski tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kayne paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Soszynski throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kayne tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Kayne lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Soszynski scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kayne wants to get back to his feet.
Kayne looks gassed!
Soszynski passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Kayne!
Soszynski throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Soszynski controlling his opponent.
Kayne wants to hold on but Soszynski pushes him away.
Kayne wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Soszynski trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Soszynski thowing shots but they're missing.

Soszynski is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kayne is surviving well by controlling Soszynski's body position as best he can.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Kayne working to try and regain half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kayne is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Soszynski sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Soszynski has control of Kayne's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kayne regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Kayne wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Soszynski.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kayne wants to hold on but Soszynski pushes him away.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zaru Kayne dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Kayne feints and then cracks Soszynski's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Soszynski down.
Kayne throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Kayne looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Kayne sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Soszynski to the ground! Kayne dives into full mount looking to finish!


It looks like Krzys Soszynski has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kayne tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Let's hope that Kayne has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Soszynski can't escape the position.
Kayne controlling the position easily from mount.
Kayne's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Soszynski is desperately trying to improve his position but Kayne has a good base and remains in mount.

Kayne is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Kayne lets loose with a powerful body kick. Soszynski will feel that in the morning.
Kayne digs a good hook to Soszynski's body.
Zaru Kayne seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Kayne fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Soszynski.
Kayne throws a one two combo.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kayne throws a left that rocks Soszynski and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Kayne dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Soszynski regain composure!
Kayne advances to full mount.
Kayne takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Soszynski is looking to get to half guard.

Kayne gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kayne throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Soszynski closes the distance and clinches up with Kayne, looking for a takedown. Soszynski pushes Kayne against the cage but Kayne circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kayne uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Soszynski has time to react.
A nice combination there by Kayne.
Soszynski takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Kayne circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Soszynski drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Kayne follows Soszynski to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zaru Kayne!
