Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Park (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Threshel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michael Threshel has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randy Park! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Threshel! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed right hand from Threshel misses the target. Threshel closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Park to the mat! Park manages to get full guard. Park avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Threshel sitting in guard here, content to control. Park is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Threshel is controlling him. Threshel engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Threshel trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Threshel stands and steps away. Park gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Threshel dives in and grabs Park's left leg, looking for a takedown. Park pushes down on Threshel's head and hops out. Threshel looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Threshel seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Park pushes Threshel off looking to stand but Threshel dives back in and keeps control.
Park could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Threshel trying to pass the guard but Park defending well. Park is in trouble now - Threshel has advanced to mount! Threshel pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
It looks like Randy Park has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Park is bucking up trying to escape but Threshel cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Threshel wants to finish this one by submission but Park is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Threshel. Park taking shots to the head. Park sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Park keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Threshel has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Threshel not doing much here.
Threshel wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Threshel stops Park from getting back to his feet.
Threshel performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Park is trying to stand up here but Threshel is controlling him well. Threshel takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Threshel passes into side control, despite Park's attempt to control the position.
Park bucks up and tries to throw Threshel off but instead Threshel has got his back! Threshel lands an elbow to the side of the head. Threshel biding his time, looking for the opening.
Park preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Threshel. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Threshel is looking to finish with some ground and pound! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Threshel shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Threshel shoots in but Park avoids the takedown attempt easily. Threshel gets in close and instigates a clinch. Threshel tries to throw a body punch but Park avoids it by throwing Threshel back against the cage. Threshel throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Threshel is trying to force a seperation but Park has the dominant position. Threshel breaks from the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Threshel throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Park connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Threshel falls off balance throwing a combination
and Threshel takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's one minute gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Park. Threshel doesn't succeed with the takedown and Park counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Threshel is lucky that one didn't land flush. Randy Park has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Threshel. No luck for Park with that takedown attempt. Threshel throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Park was covering up waiting for the punch and Threshel finishes the takedown easily into guard. Threshel is breathing heavily. Threshel controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Threshel won't allow Park to get back to his feet. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Threshel. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Threshel trying to control but Park is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Park is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Michael Threshel has got the better of the ground game so far. Threshel postures up in Park's guard and throws a big left but Park blocks it. Threshel tries to free his leg and advance position but Park is retaining full guard. Threshel advances to half guard. Threshel is controlling the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Park wants to control but Threshel is keeping busy.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Nice sprawl there from Park as Threshel shoots in. Park circles away from the clinch attempt.
Threshel doesn't succeed with the takedown and Park counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Park digs a right hand into Threshel's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Threshel's gas tank. Threshel has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Park after a bit of a struggle. Threshel fails to pull guard.

Park has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Threshel clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Threshel just trying to survive but Park is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's going to take a lot out of Michael Threshel. Threshel fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Threshel takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. and Park counters by clinching up. Threshel avoids a wild elbow strike from Park. Park gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Park drags the fight down to the ground.

Threshel tries to land a sweep but no joy. Park trying to stand up but can't free himself from Threshel's guard. Threshel manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Park manages to get himself to full guard.

Threshel drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Park manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Threshel has Park in his guard. Park trying to control the position from guard on top but Threshel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Threshel tries to land a sweep but no joy. Park prevents Threshel from getting back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Park has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Threshel is proving hard to escape from. Park postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Threshel looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Park passes into side control.
Park tries for a kimura but Threshel is defending well. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Threshel is trying to control Park's posture but Park avoids it.
And that's the end of the fight! Randy Park showed his dominance in that final round. I think Park has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
