3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hakbar Shamuli! The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Summer Carpenter and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good standup being displayed there by Maruo as he connects with a hook. Maruo looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Shamuli fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Maruo scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Maruo misses with a two punch combination.
And Shamuli tries to counter it with a takedown but Maruo pushes his down on his head and steps out. Maruo cracks Shamuli with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Shamuli slips a jab and a cross from Maruo.
Shamuli's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Maruo connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Shamuli scrambles back to his feet. Maruo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

And that's the end of the fight! Kaji Maruo showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Maruo, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
