The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Bebeto looking to score a takedown here. Gracie is defending well but Bebeto drives through and ends up in Gracie 's guard.
Bebeto is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Bebeto wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving.

Gracie is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bebeto is aware though and is defending well.
Bebeto is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bebeto doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bebeto manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Gracie looking for a guillotine here but Bebeto defends easily.
Bebeto has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gracie is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Bebeto frees his head nicely. Oh but Gracie has switched to an armbar! Bebeto is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
