Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Pedro Lazaro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Theros Staal! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Daniel Franklin and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Staal moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Staal misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Staal smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Staal walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Lazaro checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. It looked like Lazaro wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Staal throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Lazaro uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Staal. Lazaro takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Staal avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Staal fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Lazaro checks it well. Staal should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Lazaro throws out a powerful jab. Lazaro on the wrong end of a nice hook. Lazaro lands a slapping body shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lazaro lands with an uppercut that bounces Staal off the cage and back into range.
It looks like Theros Staal has been cut. A kick lands to the mid section there for Staal. Staal thuds his right hand into Lazaro's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Lazaro uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Staal. Staal takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Oooooh!!! Lazaro has knocked Staal down with a huge combo! Lazaro steps away and waves a wobbly Staal back to his feet! This one might not go much longer! Staal has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. A head kick misses from Staal.
That's one minute gone in the round. Staal shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Staal misses with a wild body shot. Lazaro darts in and clinches Staal up against the cage. Lazaro works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Staal's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Staal looks winded! Lazaro stalling in the clinch.
Lazaro lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Staal backwards. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Staal lands on the inside with an uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lazaro pushes Staal back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Lazaro misses with a punch to the body.
A short right from Lazaro on the inside. Lazaro blocks a body shot from Staal. Lazaro works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Lazaro's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Lazaro misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Lazaro tries to throw a body punch but Staal avoids it by throwing Lazaro back against the cage. This has been an exciting period of action! Lazaro doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lazaro effectively controlling the action here. Lazaro lands a body punch. Lazaro scores with a shoulder strike. Lazaro displaying some good clinch control by pressing Staal up against the cage. A short body shot lands from Lazaro as the two fighters clinch.
Lazaro lands a nice shot to the body. Lazaro softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Lazaro stalls. Lazaro lands with a light punch inside.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lazaro content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Lazaro can't find room to land a body shot as Staal controls the action.
Lazaro just leaning against Staal, taking a breather. Lazaro lands a right hand. Lazaro pushes Staal back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Lazaro avoiding damage.
Lazaro lands with a light punch inside. This has been an exciting period of action! The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Lazaro takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. A right handed body shot lands from Lazaro.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pedro Lazaro dominated that round. The cut man is working on Theros Staal's cut. That's time! Lazaro's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
A head kick misses from Staal. Lazaro moves away from the strike by Staal. Lazaro is looking to counter punch. Lazaro bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Lazaro is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Theros Staal seems to be getting the better of the standup. Staal walks into a jab. Staal swats away the attempt to clinch by Lazaro. Lazaro takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Lazaro avoids the head kick by Staal.
Lazaro lands a jab to Staal's midsection. Lazaro lands a nice hook to Staal's body. Staal takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Staal tries to keep at a distance but Lazaro has taken the fight into the clinch. Lazaro leaning his opponent against the cage. Staal is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lazaro misses with some punches.
Staal is looking to control Lazaro's arms but Lazaro gets an underhook and turns him. Now Staal has his back to the cage. Lazaro tries to work over Staal's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Staal is looking to break free of the clinch but Lazaro has double underhooks. Staal breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Staal takes a shot right to the bread basket. Staal throws a looping overhand right but Lazaro ducks down to avoid it. Lazaro cracks Staal with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Staal looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Lazaro finish him?
Staal is rocked! Lazaro closes the distance and pushes Staal back into the cage. Staal is still on wobbly legs! Can Lazaro finish him? This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The fighters are playing wrist control here with Staal pressed against the cage. Lazaro frees himself up and cracks Lazaro with an uppercut straight from the bowels of hell! Staal crumples to the floor, out cold! Lazaro jumps on to the cage and takes in the roar of the crowd! That was nasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Pedro Lazaro! Pedro Lazaro seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
