Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nathan Mak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Out Shadow!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mak throws a head kick that misses
and Shadow decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mak's guard.
Shadow keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Mak's head.
Shadow lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Shadow working some strikes from top position.
Shadow distracts Mak with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Shadow throwing strikes from guard but Mak blocks nicely.
Mak wants to stand up but Shadow is controlling him.
Mak has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Shadow missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Shadow accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Shadow cracks Mak with a solid left hand.
Shadow forces his way into half guard.
Shadow is trying to control. Mak wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Shadow working Mak over with strikes.
Shadow seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Mak is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Shadow scores with a couple of nice shots.
Mak has hold of Shadow's hands but Shadow slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Mak on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Shadow looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Shadow seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Mak is rocked!
Shadow uses his free foot to push down on Mak's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mak.
Shadow postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Mak bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Shadow and the fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Out Shadow!
