Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Damian Casey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sam Scott! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scott clinches up against the cage. Scott keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Casey's efforts to push away. Casey has clasped his hands together around Scott's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Scott tries to bench press Casey off him but Casey keeps the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Scott is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Casey is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Casey with the ground and pound from mount. Casey lands a big shot there that rocks Scott but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Scott is trying desperately to improve position.

Scott is desperately trying to improve his position but Casey has a good base and remains in mount. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Scott tries to hold on but Casey postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Casey clinches up with Scott and pushes him back against the cage. Scott pulls Casey into guard.
Casey is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Scott isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Casey stacks Scott on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Casey! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Scott is being controlled here.

Casey smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Damian Casey overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Scott is bucking up trying to escape but Casey cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Scott tries to hold on but Casey postures up. The referee warns Scott that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Damian Casey dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Scott closes the distance and pushes Casey back into the cage. Scott jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Casey walks away with a smile on his face. Scott gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Casey shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Scott sprawls well. Scott wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Casey gets slowly back to his feet. Scott fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Casey, pushing him back against the cage. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Casey has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Scott regains guard immediately. Scott wants to hit a switch here but Casey passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Scott there! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Casey trying to control but Scott is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scott taking shots to the head. Casey avoids the attempt from Scott to control. Scott tries to buck Casey off but he can't manage it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Scott tries to lock up and control but Casey gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Scott is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Sam Scott has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Damian Casey is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Casey has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Scott takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Scott throwing hammer fists to the chest of Casey. What's that going to do exactly?
And that's the end of the fight! Damian Casey showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Casey, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
