Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Dallas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Powers's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Headstrong. Johnny Dallas has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Dallas throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Powers's head.
Powers tries to clinch there but Dallas circles away.
Nice sprawl there from Dallas as Powers shoots in.
Powers keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Powers clinches up against the cage.
Powers wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Powers jumps guard and drags Dallas to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Powers slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Powers works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Powers wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dallas keeps working.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
You can see the frustration on Dallas's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Powers thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Dallas is trying to stick to Powers's back but Powers is turning into Dallas. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Dallas's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Powers.

Powers shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dallas's guard.
