Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Watford Gap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Juarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Juarez is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by INTRO - DMX. Jose Juarez is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jose Juarez! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Sandra Marshall and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Juarez gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Gap to score an easy takedown into full guard. Gap postures up.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gap can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Gap is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Gap is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Juarez can do to turn this around? The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Gap seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Juarez for as long as he can get away with.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Gap manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Juarez on his heels. He'll look to pass Juarez's guard now, I'm sure.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Gap has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Gap drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jose Juarez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Juarez is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Watford Gap showed his dominance in that final round. Well Gap has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
