Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gab Batista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Staph Aureus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tired and clearly flustered, he entered the arena late and after a little discussion it was decided that the bout should take place.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
21 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Staph Aureus!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batista throws a head kick that misses
and Aureus moves into the clinch.
Batista is trying to break free.
Aureus prevents the takedown attempt.
Batista lands with a left to the head.
Aureus swings wildly with an uppercut but Batista uses good head movement to avoid it.
Aureus landing knees to the body.
Aureus tries to throw a body punch but Batista avoids it by throwing Aureus back against the cage.
Aureus tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Aureus has Batista pressed against the cage, preventing Batista from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Batista wants a takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Batista is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Batista goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Batista pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Aureus keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Batista fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gab Batista. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The fight stays on the outside here - Aureus looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Batista cracks Aureus with an open hand slap.
It looks like Staph Aureus has been cut.
Aureus shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Batista is trying to defend but Aureus finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Batista wants to improve his position but Aureus is controlling well.
Batista is doing well to control the position and prevent Aureus from advancing to side control.
Batista regains full guard. Nicely done.
Aureus got a little sloppy there for a moment and Batista has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Aureus has managed to get both his arms back between Batista's legs - danger averted.

Batista working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Aureus doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Batista is tightening it up a little... Aureus has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Aureus reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Aureus taps out! Nice BJJ there by Batista!
