The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brix fails to land the takedown.
Brix tries to clinch but Baxter moves out of range.
Anon Brix seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brix wants to clinch up but Baxter keeps it at a distance.

Brix closes the distance and clinches.

Brix decides to pull guard.
Brix has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Brix looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Baxter avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Brix looking to hit a scissor sweep but Baxter is one step ahead there.

Baxter wants to control from the top but Brix keeps moving.
Baxter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brix. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Brix trying to keep a closed guard but Baxter is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Baxter trying to control the position from guard on top but Brix is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brix tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Brix working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Baxter.

Brix has his foot on Baxter's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Baxter works his way back into a safe position though.
Brix is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Brix is looking to cinch up a triangle. Baxter throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Brix's body to avoid the submission. Brix has instead reached around Baxter's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Brix arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
