The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Altudotis misses with a body kick. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Altudotis takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Altudotis decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Altudotis is working for a kimura but Wallace is defending it quite comfortably.
Altudotis performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Altudotis is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wallace is just riding it out for now. Altudotis eventually gives up the hold. Wallace is staying active underneath Altudotis, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Altudotis is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Altudotis tries to pass to full mount but Wallace defends it. Altudotis is trying to control. Wallace wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Altudotis is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Wallace defends it well.
