Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Bryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joshua Shouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daniel Bryan had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Bryan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
29 - 26 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joshua Shouse ! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shouse gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Bryan counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Bryan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Shouse is keeping the position for now. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shouse can do anything to dispel that myth. Bryan with a nice head shot there. Bryan trying to control but Shouse is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bryan tries to free his leg and advance position but Shouse is retaining full guard. Bryan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Bryan trying to control the position from guard on top but Shouse is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bryan won't allow Shouse to get back to his feet. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shouse is looking for a triangle but Bryan pushes his legs off easily.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Shouse with a poor takedown and Bryan counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bryan. Shouse wants to sweep here but Bryan controlling him for the moment. Bryan is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Shouse keeping moving, preventing Bryan from controlling successfully. Shouse not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Bryan won't allow Shouse to get back to his feet. Bryan trying to control but Shouse is working from the bottom. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Bryan would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Bryan fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Shouse to the ground. Bryan is now in Shouse 's guard. Shouse is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Bryan looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Bryan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bryan working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Bryan trying to control but Shouse is working from the bottom. Bryan stands up from Shouse 's guard - Bryan perhaps looking for a knockout. Shouse has taken the fight to the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Shouse manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bryan trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bryan trying to control the position from guard on top but Shouse is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bryan with a flurry of punches that miss. Bryan pushing down on Shouse 's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Shouse trying to control from the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bryan stops Shouse from getting back to his feet.
Shouse is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bryan pulls his head out easily. Shouse has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bryan is working away from the top position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Bryan dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Bryan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Shouse as he avoids it easily. Bryan shoots in and drives through. Shouse sprawls well. Bryan stuffs the takedown. Shouse scores with a jab. Bryan slaps away a takedown attempt from Shouse , before circling back to the center of the mat. Horrible takedown attempt by Shouse or perhaps it was just good defense by Bryan, which made it look bad. Daniel Bryan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joshua Shouse . Bryan fails with a takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bryan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. A kick lands to the mid section there for Shouse . Shouse scores with a kick to the midsection. Bryan shoots in and gets a takedown into Shouse 's guard. Bryan wants to control from the top but Shouse keeps moving. Shouse pulls Bryan in to control the position. Bryan throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Shouse isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Bryan stacks Shouse on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Bryan! Bryan goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Shouse has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Bryan but great work by Shouse .
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bryan regains half guard. Bryan punching from the bottom.
Shouse prevents Bryan from improving his position. Shouse is figuring out what he wants to do next. Bryan wants to get back to full guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bryan trying to control from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bryan slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Bryan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Shouse can do to turn this around? Bryan throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Shouse postures up.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Bryan being controlled here, momentarily.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Shouse fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Shouse comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Shouse closes the distance and clinches. Shouse is trying to pull guard but Bryan turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Shouse connects with a nasty looking knee right to Bryan's face.
Bryan is trying to pull guard but Shouse has him pressed against the cage. Shouse jumps into guard, dragging Bryan to the mat.
Shouse wants to stand but Bryan is controlling the position. Bryan looking to pass the guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Shouse working a defensive guard but Bryan manages to pass into side control anyway.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joshua Shouse showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Shouse shoots in looking for a takedown. Bryan tries to sprawl out of it but Shouse keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bryan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Daniel Bryan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nice sprawl there from Shouse as Bryan shoots in. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bryan. Bryan stuffs the takedown. Bryan shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Shouse defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Bryan. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shouse tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Bryan misses with a lunging right hand
and Shouse counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Shouse .
That's one minute gone in the round. Shouse turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Shouse manages to end up in side control. Bryan manages to work his way to half guard, despite Shouse 's best efforts. Shouse prevents Bryan from improving his position. Shouse prevents Bryan from standing back up.
Shouse tries to stand but can't do so whilst Bryan controls his leg. Bryan tries to get to full guard but Shouse has control of the leg. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shouse wants to control but Bryan is keeping him busy.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Bryan shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Shouse pushes Bryan up against the cage in a clinch. Shouse lands a takedown into guard.
Bryan has a closed guard, preventing Shouse from standing up. Daniel Bryan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Bryan controls Shouse momentarily but Shouse frees himself. Shouse stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bryan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bryan is on top in guard.
Bryan engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Shouse wants to get back to his feet but Bryan is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Bryan slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Shouse is trying to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bryan is looking to take a break and control but Shouse is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Shouse tries to improve position but can't. Bryan cracks Shouse with a big elbow. Shouse throws Bryan to one side and escapes! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Shouse throws a head kick that misses. Bryan fails with the takedown. Shouse goes for a double leg but Bryan avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bryan continues to drive forward.
And that's the end of the fight! Joshua Shouse comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Shouse has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
