Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Eddie Farnsworth and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hyde tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Smith is in Hyde's guard.
Smith slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Smith looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Smith working away.
Hyde tries to improve position but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith is looking to take a break and control but Hyde is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Smith throws an elbow but Hyde slips to the side and avoids it well.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hyde is being controlled here.
Hyde tries to bench press Smith off him but Smith keeps the position.
Smith trying to control the action but Hyde is working from the bottom.
Smith gets to mount! Hyde was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Smith wants to finish this one by submission but Hyde is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Smith.
Smith with the ground and pound from mount.

Smith works his way to his opponent's back.
Smith wants to control but Hyde is keeping busy.
Smith scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Hyde is breathing heavily.
Hyde wants to escape the position.
Smith punishes Hyde with strikes from the back mount.
Hyde defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Smith's arms.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Smith tries to get the hooks in deep but Hyde pushed the leg off.

Well, with Smith on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Hyde is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Smith might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hyde haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Smith has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Hyde is defending well but eventually Smith manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Hyde has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
