Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Grover Lewis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ganbaatar Baruun!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baruun drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Baruun has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Baruun fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Baruun misses with a body kick.
Lewis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Baruun feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Baruun accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Lewis is trying to hold Baruun in close to prevent damage but Baruun has managed to pass into half guard.
Lewis trying to hold on to Baruun's head to control him but Baruun postures up.
Baruun wants to pass to mount but Lewis is defending the position.

Baruun stands up and beckons Lewis to join him on the feet.
Baruun misses with a body shot
and Lewis counters with a three punch combo that has Baruun backing up. Baruun nods at Lewis to acknowledge the strikes.
Lewis tries to keep at a distance but Baruun has taken the fight into the clinch.
Lewis is trying to break free.
Lewis is trying to pull guard but Baruun turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Baruun keeps control of Lewis as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Baruun manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Baruun successfully pulls guard.
Baruun has a closed guard, preventing Lewis from standing up.
Baruun is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Baruun is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Lewis frees his head nicely. Oh but Baruun has switched to an armbar! Lewis is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
