Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Whyte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mir has chosen Amazing- Kanye West as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Frank Mir has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Mir. Those never looked like landing.
Horrible takedown attempt by Mir or perhaps it was just good defense by Whyte, which made it look bad.
Mir doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Whyte.
Mir with a poor takedown
and Whyte counters with a head kick.
Mir shoots in for a takedown but Whyte shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
David Whyte has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Mir.
Whyte connects with an inside leg kick.
Mir takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Mir gets tackled into the cage by Whyte. Whyte maintains the clinch.

Whyte breaks the clinch.
Whyte's corner calls for a 1-2. Whyte obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Whyte misses with the combination.

A chopping leg kick lands by Whyte.
Mir tries for a takedown but Whyte circles away easily
and Whyte counters with a straight right hand.
Mir has his takedown stuffed

and Whyte counters with a crisp right hand that drops Mir! Whyte lets Mir back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Mir shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Whyte counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Mir falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!
