Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sonny Jaxon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thaddaeus Lane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sonny Jaxon could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Thaddaeus Lane's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Thaddaeus Lane!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Darius Henderson and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lane dives in and grabs Jaxon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jaxon pushes down on Lane's head and hops out.
Jaxon stuffs the takedown.
Lane shoots in looking for a takedown. Jaxon tries to sprawl out of it but Lane keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jaxon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Sonny Jaxon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thaddaeus Lane.
Lane misses with a hook
and Lane takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Lane tries to bum rush Jaxon with a series of wild strikes but Jaxon uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lane shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Lane was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jaxon tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lane wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lane is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Jaxon is trying to escape and Lane transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Jaxon is forced to tap! Nice work there by Lane! Very nice indeed!
