Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Perseen Suti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz comes to the cage accompanied by Fort Minor-Remember The Name. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nick Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Perseen Suti!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suti connects with a solid leg kick.
Diaz throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Suti smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Donk. Diaz catches Suti right on the button with a cross.
The fighters circling - Suti throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Diaz tries to counter by clinching up but Suti breaks away and moves out of range.
Diaz fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Suti has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Diaz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Diaz's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Suti connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Diaz scrambles back to his feet.

Suti drives through and clinches with Diaz against the cage.
Diaz wants to get back to striking at distance but Suti won't allow it.

Diaz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Perseen Suti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Suti takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Diaz looks to land a combination but Suti avoids it well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Suti misses with a looping right.
Suti connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Diaz keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

enabling Suti to counter with a crisp jab.
Suti throws a body shot but no joy.
Diaz is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Suti tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Diaz was well out of range. Poor timing from Suti.
Diaz fires out a quick counter leg kick but Suti just manages to avoid it.
Diaz swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Diaz is trying hard to land a takedown here. Suti sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Nice defenses there by Diaz.
Diaz rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Suti moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Suti moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Suti fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Diaz manages to avoid it.
Diaz cracks a nice hook into Suti's ribs.

Diaz tries to sprawl but Suti drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Diaz is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Hunter's hideout that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Suti is controlling the pace.
Suti throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Suti cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Diaz tries to lock up and control but Suti gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
My spies in Bruize Brothers inform me that Suti has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
BOOM! Suti connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Diaz is working to get back to half guard.
Diaz is bucking up trying to escape but Suti cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Suti drops a big elbow. That's hurt Diaz! More shots from Suti and the ref steps in! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Perseen Suti!
Perseen Suti was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
