Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joesph Wyatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Gold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simon Gold has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gold uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Wyatt has time to react.
Wyatt has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Gold digs a good hook to Wyatt's body.
Gold fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Gold lands with a shot to the body.
Wyatt takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Gold fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Wyatt looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gold throws a right hand that Wyatt ducks under and follows up with a left that Wyatt also avoids with ease.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gold can do anything to dispel that myth.

Wyatt drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wyatt jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Wyatt keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Gold's head.
Wyatt slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Wyatt has Gold pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Wyatt pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Gold tumbling to the mat - Wyatt dives into Gold's guard.

Gold shoots in and bounces Wyatt off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Wyatt has an Americana. Gold didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Wyatt is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Wyatt hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
