Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ron Coleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hugh G Rection!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rection tries to close the distance and clinch but Coleman swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Coleman drops down looking for a counter takedown but Rection sprawls and moves away.
Rection fails with a takedown attempt.
Rection keeps the fight on the outside.

Coleman instigates a clinch.
Coleman has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rection is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Rection is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Coleman tries a body shot but Rection blocks it.

Coleman gets a trip takedown into half guard.

Coleman is looking for a kimura but Rection is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Coleman to get the leverage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Coleman is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Rection has managed to free his arm - good work.
Rection moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Coleman looking to sit in guard and control but Rection gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Coleman is trying to keep Rection in close.
Coleman pulls Rection in close to prevent any damage.
Rection trying to control the position from guard on top but Coleman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Rection has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Coleman is proving hard to escape from.

Coleman is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Coleman shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rection but Rection pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Coleman shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Rection manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Rection pushes a forearm under Coleman's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Coleman is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Hugh G Rection!
Hugh G Rection decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
