Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Bass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Fightmaster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Bass! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Max Fightmaster! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bass tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fightmaster paws at him with a jab and circles away. Bass fails with a takedown attempt. Fightmaster shoots in and bounces Bass off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Bass is looking to sweep but instead, Fightmaster has passed into half guard.
Fightmaster working the head and body with strikes. Fightmaster controlling the action here. Let's hope that Fightmaster has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bass trying to control but Fightmaster postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fightmaster seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bass does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Fightmaster slips a nice elbow through Bass's hands, connecting with Bass's forehead. Bass is trying to control but can't.
Fightmaster really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bass. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Fightmaster decides to return to a standing position. Bass moves in looking to clinch but Fightmaster pushes him off. Max Fightmaster seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bass gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Fightmaster counters with a single leg into guard. Bass didn't expect that. Fightmaster decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Bass wants to clinch and Fightmaster counters with a solid body kick. Bass pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bass tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Fightmaster counters with a single leg into guard. Bass didn't expect that.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Fightmaster stands and steps away. Bass gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Bass misses with a takedown and Fightmaster counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bass won't be happy with that. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Bass. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bass is breathing heavily. Fightmaster advances to mount. Fightmaster content just to control the position here. Bass tries to get back to half guard but can't. Fightmaster lands a big elbow. Bass is in a horrible position here. Fightmaster smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Fightmaster takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fightmaster working away from the top, dropping strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bass tries to lock up and control but Fightmaster gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Fightmaster landing punches. Fightmaster with a couple of short strikes. Fightmaster lands a heavy elbow. Fightmaster takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Bass takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Fightmaster controlling his opponent. Fightmaster with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fightmaster lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Bass hang on? Fightmaster has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Bass's face.
Fightmaster controlling from the full mount. Fightmaster scoring with strikes but Bass is staying in there. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Fightmaster with a couple of short strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Max Fightmaster dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Fightmaster lands a jab to the nose. Mike Bass is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Fightmaster rushes Bass and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. A short right from Fightmaster. Fightmaster breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A clash of legs there as Fightmaster blocks the low kick. Bass fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fightmaster manages to avoid it. Bass wants to clinch but Fightmaster slips to the side and Fightmaster counters with a one-two to the body. Bass doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Fightmaster scores with a three punch combo!
Fightmaster moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Fightmaster throws a series of punches but Bass moves out of range. Bass takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Fightmaster scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Bass is looking for a sweep. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Fightmaster controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fightmaster decides to stand back up. Fightmaster steps back and let's Bass get back to his feet. Fightmaster cracks Bass with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Fightmaster!
Fightmaster shoots in and bounces Bass off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Fightmaster thows a big elbow that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bass can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Fightmaster controls the pace. Fightmaster stands up and waves to Bass to follow him. Fightmaster scores with a takedown into Bass's guard. Fightmaster stands up from guard. Let's bang! A nice inside leg kick there by Fightmaster. That's going to slow Bass down. Fightmaster fails to land with a series of punches.
Bass gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Fightmaster with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bass is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Fightmaster trying to control but Bass is working from the bottom. Fightmaster stands up over Bass, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Fightmaster is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Bass not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Fightmaster stands and steps away. Bass gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Fightmaster has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Fightmaster drives through and clinches with Bass against the cage.
Fightmaster breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fightmaster fails to land with a series of punches.
Bass doesn't succeed with the takedown and Fightmaster counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bass! Fightmaster with the ground and pound from mount. Fightmaster with a couple of short strikes. Bass wants to control but Fightmaster is having none of it. Bass in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Fightmaster landing strikes from the mount and Bass is in trouble! Fightmaster with the ground and pound from mount. Fightmaster landing shots from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Max Fightmaster showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Fightmaster shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bass's guard. Fightmaster preventing the sweep. Fightmaster decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Fightmaster moves into the clinch. Fightmaster breaks the clinch.
Fightmaster misses with the combination.
Bass cracks Fightmaster with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Fightmaster feints and as Bass raises his hands in defense, Fightmaster changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Fightmaster works over Bass with some ground and pound from guard. Bass is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fightmaster pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bass is keeping the position for now. Bass looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fightmaster is one step ahead there. Fightmaster stays in close to Bass's body and controls the position. Fightmaster passes Bass's left leg - he's now in half guard. Fightmaster content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Bass is defending against the submission attempts here by Fightmaster.
Fightmaster seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Max Fightmaster has got the better of the ground game so far. Fightmaster decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Fightmaster throws a nice looking combination but Bass bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fightmaster moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Fightmaster lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Bass with a poor takedown and Fightmaster counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Bass looks to clinch and Fightmaster counters by clinching up. Fightmaster breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fightmaster can do anything to dispel that myth.
And that's the end of the fight! Max Fightmaster comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Fightmaster has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
