Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tauno Kunnari! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Otso Koski! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Fujiwara and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kunnari shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Koski as he avoids it easily. Kunnari shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Koski counters with an inside leg kick. Koski fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kunnari. Koski clinches up with Kunnari and pushes him back against the cage. Kunnari can't break the clinch.
Kunnari wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tauno Kunnari. That's going to take a lot out of him. A short right from Koski. Koski swings wildly with an uppercut but Kunnari uses good head movement to avoid it. Koski leaning his opponent against the cage. Koski lands an elbow inside.
