Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Neil Drake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sindri Haraldsson!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Bart Greer and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body punch from Haraldsson.
Drake swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Drake smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Drake throws a hook but Haraldsson avoids it easily.
Haraldsson scores with a shot to the body.
Drake definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Drake throws a right hand that misses
and Haraldsson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Drake's knee momentarily.
Sloppy strikes from Drake. Those never looked like landing.
Haraldsson lands a nice hook to Drake's body. Drake takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Haraldsson keeps Drake at a distance using the push kick.
Drake swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Drake fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Haraldsson manages to avoid it.
Haraldsson looks to throw a body kick

and Drake counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Haraldsson!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Drake is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Haraldsson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Drake tries to advance to mount but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Haraldsson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Haraldsson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Drake. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Drake wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Haraldsson, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Drake tries to move into full mount but can't pass Haraldsson's legs.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Haraldsson is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Drake has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Haraldsson blocking the ground and pound.

Drake has control of Haraldsson's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Haraldsson regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Drake is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Haraldsson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Drake trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Drake has hold of Haraldsson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Haraldsson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Drake moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Haraldsson has worked his arm free - good work by Haraldsson!

Drake is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Haraldsson looks calm but he's in trouble here. Drake gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Haraldsson is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Drake lets go of the hold and Haraldsson can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Neil Drake!
