Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mitch Mike (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vince Run (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Vince Run was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mitch Mike! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Vince Run! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, David Hoff and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Run fails with a takedown attempt. Run takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Mitch Mike seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Run tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mike swivels and escapes. Run throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Mike counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Run shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Mike counters with a three punch combo that has Run backing up. Run nods at Mike to acknowledge the strikes. Mitch Mike has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vince Run. Run misses with a leg kick. A good leg kick by Mike. Mike lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Mike throws a head kick that misses. Run drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Mike defends it well. Mike lands with a kick to the temple. Run shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Run tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mike defends well and Run ends up having to push Mike into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Run darts in looking for a takedown but Mike gets double underhooks and turns Run into the cage. Run wants to clinch up but Mike keeps it at a distance. Run throws a nice looking combination but Mike bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Run fails with an attempt to clinch.
Mike feinted there with a counter leg kick. Mitch Mike is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mike throws a sloppy head kick and Run moves out of range easily. Run tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Mike throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Mike darts in and clinches Run up against the cage. Mike lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Run misses with a punch on the inside.
Mike landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Run dodges an elbow strike from Mike.
Mike lands a nice elbow. Mike is leaning against Run and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Mike lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Run prevents a body shot from Mike. Run on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Run can't find room to land a body shot as Mike controls the action.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Mike gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mike with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Run is trying to maintain a safe position but Mike gets an underhook and turns Run into the cage. Mike tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Run avoids it. Mike definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Run lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. A short right hand to the side of the head by Mike. Mike presses Run against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Mike putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Run in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Mike will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Run up against the cage. Mike tries to land knees in the clinch but Run avoids the damage to the body. Mike lands a left hand that snaps the head of Run backwards. Mike lands a body punch in the clinch. Run tries to pull guard but Mike won't allow it.
Mike keeps control of Run as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mike misses with a knee to the head. Mike prevents the takedown attempt.

Mike utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Run's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A clash of legs there as Run blocks the low kick. Run has closed the distance and engaged Mike in a clinch.

Mike lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Run backwards. Mike stalling.
Run trying to stall but Mike improves his position.
Mike makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Run has Mike pushed against the cage. Run is looking to take this one to the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A short uppercut from Mike. Mike utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Mike keeps control of Run as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Run blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Run misses with a knee to the head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Run jumps guard but Mike stands there with Run around his waist. Run gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Mike lands a damaging elbow. Mike with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Mitch Mike dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Run throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Run shoots for a double leg takedown but Mike sprawls well. He's pushed Run's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Mike misses with an attempted mid kick.
Mike misses with a low kick. Run takes a jab right on the kisser.
Mike tries a low kick but Run avoids it. Run blocks a low kick nicely. Vince Run is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mike moves into the clinch. Run wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Mike tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Run avoids it. Run tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Run pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Mike scoring well with a low kick there.
Mike tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Some wild striking there from Run.
That's one minute gone in the round. Run moves in looking to clinch but Mike pushes him off. Mike throws a wild body kick that Run sees coming a mile off. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Run tries to clinch up but Mike circles away and keeps his distance. Run shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mike as he jumps to the side. Mike throws a quick counter head kick but Run was just out of range. Mike avoids the head kick by Run.
A head kick from Mike lands but Run takes it in his stride. Run shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mike as he jumps to the side. Mitch Mike has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vince Run. Run on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Run tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mike swivels and escapes. Run is breathing heavily. Run gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Mike counters with a three punch combo that has Run backing up. Run nods at Mike to acknowledge the strikes. Mike tries to keep at a distance but Run has taken the fight into the clinch. Run swings wildly with an uppercut but Mike uses good head movement to avoid it. Mike is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Run can do to turn this around?

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A battle for position here, against the cage. Mike lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Run is trying to drag Mike to the mat but Mike just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Mike scores with a shoulder strike. Mike lands a left hand that snaps the head of Run backwards. Run wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Mike has him pressed against the cage. Run is trying to break free.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mike tries a knee to the head but Run blocks it.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Mike obliges. Mike lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Run jumps guard but Mike turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Run misses with a knee to the head. Run blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Run looking to stall.

Mike lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Mike fakes the leg kick and cracks Run in the body. Run drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Run trying to control the action but Mike is working from the bottom. Mike throws Run to one side and escapes! A chopping leg kick lands by Mike. A solid body kick from Mike. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mitch Mike dominated that second round. That's time! Mike's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
A combination from Run does no damage. Mike connects with a high kick. Run lands a jab to Mike's midsection. Run throws a right and a left that Mike avoids nicely. Mike circles away from the clinch attempt.
The fighters circle momentarily. Mike darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Run on the wrong end of a nice hook. Run gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily enabling Mike to counter with a crisp jab. Mike stuffs the takedown attempt from Run. Run gets slowly back to his feet. Mike is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Mike stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Run takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Mike with a knee to the head.
Run jumps guard but Mike stands there with Run around his waist. Run gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

It will also be interesting to see what tactics Mike uses from the top position. Mike stands and steps away. Run gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Mike throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Mike looks for the body kick but Run saw that one coming. Mike misses with a kick to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Run walks into a stiff left hand from Mike. Run moves in looking to clinch but Mike pushes him off. Run tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Run shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mike pinned against the cage. Mike gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Mike connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Run momentarily.
Mike moves into the clinch. A short right hand to the side of the head by Mike. Mike landing knees to the head.

The referee is keeping an eye on Run - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Run pulls Mike into guard.
Run wants to stand and escape but Mike is having none of it. Run working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mike doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mike manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Run is trying to keep Mike in close.
Mike gets to his feet. Run looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Ouch! a nice leg kick from Mike, right into the meat.
Mitch Mike is winning the standup battle so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mike lands a jab to the nose. No joy there for Run, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mike fails with an attempt to clinch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Run. Mike lands a jab to the head.
Run takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Mike avoids the head kick by Run.
Mike throws a head kick that Run semi-blocks.
Mike throws a nice outside leg kick. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mike tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Run closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mike circles away. Mike delivers a nice body kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Mitch Mike showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mike, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
