Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Johnathon Harrington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Max Lee has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 2, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Johnathon Harrington!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Max Lee!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Seu Braga and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lee shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Harrington's guard.
Harrington controlling the position.
Lee showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Harrington pulls Lee in close to prevent any damage.
Lee slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Lee's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lee is standing up over Harrington. Harrington looks to escape but Lee dives into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
You can see the frustration on Harrington's face as Lee controls the position.
Lee wants to lay and pray for a moment but Harrington keeps working.
Harrington is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.

Harrington wants to get back to his feet but Lee drags him back down.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Harrington moves into the clinch successfully.

Harrington escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Lee dives in and scores a takedown into Harrington's guard.
Lee stops Harrington from standing up.
Lee controls from within his opponent's guard.
Lee wants to pass the guard but Harrington is keeping the position.
Harrington controls Lee momentarily but Lee frees himself.

Harrington throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Lee controlling from the top position.
Harrington is looking to sweep but instead, Lee has passed into half guard.
Harrington tries to get to full guard but Lee has control of the leg.
Harrington is refusing to be controlled, as Lee sits in half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Lee gets a clinch.

Harrington breaks from the clinch.

Lee closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Harrington quickly recovers to half guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Max Lee dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Nice sprawl there from Harrington as Lee shoots in.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Harrington enables Lee to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Harrington manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Lee has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Harrington looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Harrington will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Lee trying to control the position from guard on top but Harrington is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Lee dives in and scores a takedown into Harrington's guard.

Harrington working for submissions but it's allowed Lee to get to half guard.
Harrington is refusing to be controlled, as Lee sits in half guard.

Lee is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Harrington defends it well.
Harrington trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

Lee fails to move to back control.
Harrington tries to control Lee's body but Lee pushes him off. Harrington squirms to his side and now Lee has his back!
Max Lee has got the better of the ground game so far.
Lee controls the action.

Lee has the hooks in. Harrington is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lee wants to control the position but Harrington frees himself and scrambles - Lee manages to regain control in side control.
Lee prevents Harrington from escaping the position.
Harrington is trying to control Lee's posture but Lee avoids it.
Harrington is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Lee is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Lee misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Lee is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Harrington tries to improve position but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Max Lee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


An inside leg kick from Harrington misses.

Lee is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Harrington's half guard.
Harrington really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Lee wants to control the pace but Harrington is squirming around nicely.

Lee avoids the attempt from Harrington to control.
Harrington is desperately trying to improve his position but Lee has a good base and remains in mount.
Harrington is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Lee looking to control and managing it successfully.
Harrington is squirming around, avoiding Lee's attempts to control the action.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Harrington tries to lock up and control but Lee gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Lee fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Harrington manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Lee is keen to just control but Harrington is a slippery customer.
Harrington pushes Lee off looking to stand but Lee dives back in and keeps control.

Lee blocks the strikes from Harrington.
Harrington wants to get back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
No luck for Harrington with that takedown attempt.

Harrington gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lee to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lee takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Harrington is adopting a defensive guard.
Harrington keeping moving, preventing Lee from controlling successfully.
Lee looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Max Lee comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Lee winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Max Lee really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Just Fight (Everything 8$) logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
