Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tyron Melendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kingpin Switz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kingpin Switz will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyron Melendez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kingpin Switz! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Switz looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Melendez! Melendez really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill... Switz stands up and beckons Melendez to his feet. Switz has managed to clinch.

Melendez could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Switz bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Melendez's guard. Melendez is looking to stand up but Switz isn't so interested in that idea. Melendez is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Switz stands up from Melendez's guard - Switz perhaps looking for a knockout. Switz is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Melendez's half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Switz throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Switz not landing any meaningful shots this time. Switz seems to be looking for submissions.

Switz tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Melendez swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Melendez might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Melendez wants to hold on but Switz pushes him away. Melendez is looking to improve his position but Switz isn't that keen on the idea. Poor strikes thrown by Switz there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Melendez tries to hold on but Switz postures up. Switz looking to control but Melendez is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Switz unloads with some shots from mount but Melendez bucks and avoids them well.

A little feinted left hand from Melendez on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Melendez tries to clinch but Switz is having none of it. Switz moves into the clinch. Melendez tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Switz smiles and moves away.

That's one minute gone in the round. Switz lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Melendez takes a knee to the side of the body. Switz has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Melendez uses from the top position. Melendez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Switz has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Melendez has managed to get both his arms back between Switz's legs - danger averted. Switz pulls Melendez in close to his closed guard and prevents Melendez from doing any damage or advancing position. Switz looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Melendez stacks Switz on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Melendez! Switz manages to work his way to half guard, despite Melendez's best efforts. Switz wants to control the action here but instead Melendez manages to pass to full mount! Switz manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Switz swats away the attempt to clinch by Melendez. Switz is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kingpin Switz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Melendez tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Switz manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Switz has taken the fight to the clinch.
Switz jumps guard and drags Melendez to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Switz is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Switz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Switz works his foot free and advances to mount. Switz throwing strikes here but Melendez is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Switz wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Melendez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Switz throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Melendez has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Switz takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Switz holds on and takes a little breather.
And that's the end of the fight! Kingpin Switz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Switz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
