Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Lynch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Katsuji Rikidozan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eric Lynch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 19 - 0, fighting out of London, Katsuji Rikidozan! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick by Rikidozan misses and Lynch counters with a nice double leg into guard. Lynch postures up in Rikidozan's guard and throws a big left but Rikidozan blocks it. Rikidozan wants to sweep here but Lynch controlling him for the moment. Rikidozan is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Lynch works a leg free and moves into half guard. Rikidozan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lynch is working away from the top position though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rikidozan is trying to get back to full guard. Rikidozan trying to control but Lynch postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lynch definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Lynch missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Rikidozan misses with a straight right. A low kick from Rikidozan misses and Lynch makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Rikidozan really felt that one! A chopping leg kick lands by Lynch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rikidozan throws a right and a left that both miss. Rikidozan throws a low kick, looking for Lynch's leg but Lynch calmly moves out of range. Rikidozan pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Rikidozan throws out a leg kick but Lynch moves out of range and Rikidozan only half commits. A head kick misses from Rikidozan. Lynch fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Rikidozan. Rikidozan throws a nice head kick!

enabling Lynch to counter with a crisp jab. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rikidozan drops his hands momentarily and Lynch takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Rikidozan throws a head kick that misses. Rikidozan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Rikidozan's coach down at Axia Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Rikidozan's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lynch with a body punch. A glancing blow. A jab from Lynch finds it's way through Rikidozan's defenses.
It looks like Katsuji Rikidozan has been cut. An inside leg kick lands from Lynch. Rikidozan on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Lynch cracks Rikidozan with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Rikidozan falls to his knees and Lynch doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eric Lynch! After winning the bout, Eric Lynch thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
