Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kuroda Atsushi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Suchart Chaowanungkarn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chaowanungkarn has chosen Muay Thai fight music as his entrance music. Suchart Chaowanungkarn is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 34 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Kuroda Atsushi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 26 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Suchart Chaowanungkarn!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Chris Dean and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atsushi takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Atsushi blocks a head kick by Chaowanungkarn.
Chaowanungkarn dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Atsushi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Chaowanungkarn scores with a spinning back kick!
Chaowanungkarn misses with a kick to the body.
Chaowanungkarn moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Chaowanungkarn connects with a leg kick. Atsushi looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
A nice inside leg kick there by Chaowanungkarn. That's going to slow Atsushi down.
Some wild striking there from Atsushi.
Atsushi connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Chaowanungkarn waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Atsushi.
Chaowanungkarn pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Atsushi swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Atsushi takes a shot right to the bread basket.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Chaowanungkarn throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Atsushi throws a push kick but Chaowanungkarn slaps the foot to one side.
Atsushi connects with a solid leg kick.
Atsushi will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Atsushi takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

and Atsushi counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Chaowanungkarn wants to sweep but no luck.
Atsushi engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Atsushi postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Atsushi throwing strikes from guard but Chaowanungkarn blocks nicely.
Chaowanungkarn avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Chaowanungkarn is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Atsushi postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Chaowanungkarn not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Atsushi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Chaowanungkarn. That did some damage!
Chaowanungkarn is looking to slow Atsushi down with leg kicks.

and Chaowanungkarn makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Chaowanungkarn bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Atsushi fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Chaowanungkarn.
Suchart Chaowanungkarn is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Chaowanungkarn swings for the body but Atsushi moves out of range.
Atsushi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Chaowanungkarn throws a push kick but Atsushi slaps the foot to one side.
Chaowanungkarn looks to land a body kick but Atsushi moved away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Atsushi misses with a low kick.
Chaowanungkarn wants to clinch

and Atsushi counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Atsushi sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Chaowanungkarn defending well though.
Atsushi throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Chaowanungkarn to regain full guard.
Atsushi working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Atsushi throws an elbow that misses. Chaowanungkarn uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Atsushi's guard. Nice move by Chaowanungkarn!

Atsushi can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Chaowanungkarn controls the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Atsushi pushes a forearm under Chaowanungkarn's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Chaowanungkarn is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Kuroda Atsushi!
