Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brock Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mordechai Marx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mordechai Marx will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brock Lesnar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mordechai Marx! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Ben Watson and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lesnar takes a body punch but keeps moving. Marx drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lesnar working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Marx. Marx told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Lesnar is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Marx is controlling him. Lesnar striking from his own guard. Lesnar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Marx postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Lesnar looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Marx passes into side control.
Marx is looking to take a break and control but Lesnar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marx tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Marx has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lesnar tries to improve position but can't. Lesnar is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Marx is pressing down on Lesnar's thigh, looking to free his foot. Lesnar is holding on for now. Marx trying to control from half guard but Lesnar is working away. Lesnar is trying to get back to full guard. Marx sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Lesnar defending well though. Marx is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Lesnar is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Marx is trying to work for a kimura but Lesnar is defending well.
Marx is thwarting Lesnar's attempts to control the position. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Lesnar actively working from the bottom here. Marx sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Lesnar defending well though. Marx prevents Lesnar from improving his position. Lesnar looking for submissions off his back.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Marx is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lesnar. Marx shoots in and bounces Lesnar off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Marx landing some decent shots from guard. Lesnar has his foot on Marx's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Marx works his way back into a safe position though. Marx looking to pass the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lesnar is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Marx is aware though and is defending well. Lesnar keeping full guard, as Marx tries to pass. Marx working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Lesnar controls Marx momentarily but Marx frees himself. Marx wants to control from the top but Lesnar keeps moving. Lesnar throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Lesnar has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Marx can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lesnar wants to sweep here but Marx controlling him for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mordechai Marx dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
A swing and a miss from Marx. Marx has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Lesnar gets a takedown into half guard. Marx is defending against the submission attempts here by Lesnar.

We've been hearing that Lesnar has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. That's three minutes gone in the round. Lesnar is looking for a sweep. Marx is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Marx wants to control but Lesnar is keeping him busy.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Marx lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Marx shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Lesnar takes one on the button. Lesnar ducks under a wild hook from Marx. Lesnar shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Marx's guard. Lesnar is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Marx looking to control.
Lesnar makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Lesnar is working Marx over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Lesnar stopping the sweep attempt from Marx.

Lesnar cracks Marx with a solid left hand. Lesnar throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Marx works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Marx preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Marx wants to sweep here but Lesnar controlling him for the moment. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lesnar lands a couple of elbows. Marx trying to control the position.

Brock Lesnar dominated that second round. That's time! Lesnar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Marx misses with a double jab.
Lesnar avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Lesnar feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Marx working a defensive guard here.

Not particularly brutal. Lesnar stands up over Marx, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Marx keeping full guard, as Lesnar tries to pass. Lesnar is working hard here to advance position. Lesnar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Not yet Marx, not yet. Lesnar pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Marx is keeping the position for now. Lesnar is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Lesnar throwing strikes but missing. Marx is trying to keep Lesnar in close.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Marx wants to sweep here but Lesnar controlling him for the moment. Marx manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lesnar manages to get himself to full guard.
Marx is posturing up here but Lesnar has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Marx tries to roll out but it's too tight and Marx has to tap! Slick submission there by Lesnar!

A very excited looking Brock Lesnar made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
