Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lesnar closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Richmond did well to prevent Lesnar getting side control.
Lesnar stalling.
Lesnar's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Richmond tries to kick Lesnar off but Lesnar keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Lesnar passes to full mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Richmond is bucking up trying to escape but Lesnar cracks him with another couple of good strikes.


It looks like Jeromy Richmond has been cut.
Lesnar controlling his opponent.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lesnar with shots to the head and body - Richmond looks very uncomfortable down there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lesnar goes for an armbar but Richmond turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Richmond.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lesnar pulls Richmond in close to prevent any damage.
Richmond cracks Lesnar with a solid left hand.

Lesnar managing to control the position.
Lesnar is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Lesnar in particular looking to stall.

It looks like Lesnar is going to stand back up.
Lesnar keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Lesnar is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Lesnar wants to pass to mount but Richmond is defending the position.
Lesnar frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Lesnar lands a big shot there that rocks Richmond but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Lesnar is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Richmond's half guard.
Lesnar looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Lesnar scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Lesnar is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Lesnar in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Lesnar is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Richmond knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Lesnar cracks Richmond with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Richard Lesnar opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
