Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mark Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jarek Mace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mark Ramos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jarek Mace! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mace darts in looking for a takedown but Ramos gets double underhooks and turns Mace into the cage. A momentary lapse in concentration from Ramos enables Mace to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ramos manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Mace is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mace postures up in Ramos's guard and throws a big left but Ramos blocks it. Ramos being controlled here, momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. It looks like Mace might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Ramos avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Mace swats away the attempt to clinch by Ramos. Ramos gets a clinch. Mace blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Mace is looking to take this one to the mat. Mace pulls guard successfully.
Mace is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ramos accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Ramos throwing strikes from guard but Mace blocks nicely. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Ramos throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Ramos throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mace works some decent striking defense from the bottom. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mace can do anything to dispel that myth. Mace scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Mace shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ramos's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ramos keeping moving, preventing Mace from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mace slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Mace looking to pass the guard. Ramos wants to stand and escape but Mace is having none of it. Mace is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ramos is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ramos has escaped and now he's on top! Mace preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ramos throws a big elbow that misses. Ramos might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Ramos throws a big right hand that misses. Ramos throws an elbow that misses. Mace uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ramos's guard. Nice move by Mace! Mace looking to pass the guard. Mace controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jarek Mace dominated that round. That's time! Ramos's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Mace takes the fight into the clinch. Mace has been the more effective fighter overall so far. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Ramos. Ramos throws a punch but it's blocked by Mace. Ramos has a couple of punches blocked by Mace.

Ramos wants to clinch up but Mace keeps it at a distance. Ramos gets caught napping as Mace dives in and scores a takedown. Ramos manages to retain guard. Mace is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mace looking to pass the guard. Mace controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Mace trying to control the position from guard on top but Ramos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Mace content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Mark Ramos is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Mace looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. An inside leg kick from Mace misses. Ramos tries to clinch up but Mace circles away and keeps his distance. Ramos closes the distance but Mace moves to the side and Mace counters with a body kick. Mace lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Mace. Mace swats away the attempt to clinch by Ramos. As Ramos backs off Mace throws a huge counter combo but Ramos manages to avoid it all. Ramos doesn't manage to clinch there - Mace circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ramos tries to kick Mace off but Mace keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mace passes the guard and advances to mount! Jarek Mace has got the better of the ground game so far. Mace tries to control but Ramos wriggling away. Mace lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mace wants to control the pace but Ramos is squirming around nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jarek Mace showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Ramos is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Mace lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Mace scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. A lull in the action here as Mace stalls from top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ramos is not content to let Mace control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ramos wants to get back to his feet but Mace drags him back down. Mace tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Mace is working to tighten his grip on Ramos's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Ramos has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Mace is really squeezing tight and eventually Ramos passes out! Mace breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Jarek Mace! After winning the bout, Jarek Mace thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
