Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bill Geyts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Timo Altudotis! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Geyts moves into the clinch. Geyts creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Altudotis's defenses. Altudotis blocks an elbow strike from Geyts.
Geyts misses with an elbow over the top. Altudotis should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Geyts pressing his opponent against the cage. Geyts gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Altudotis.
Altudotis drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Geyts lands a damaging elbow. Altudotis stalling in the clinch but Geyts improves position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Altudotis tries to pull guard but Geyts holds him up against the cage and eventually Altudotis drops back down to his feet.
Bill Geyts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Timo Altudotis. Altudotis goes for a takedown attempt but Geyts pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Geyts throws a shot from downtown. Altudotis moves away and avoids it. Geyts moves into the clinch. Geyts lands an elbow just above Altudotis 's eye. Altudotis takes an elbow to the temple.
That's one minute gone in the round. Geyts throws an elbow but it misses.
Altudotis avoids the elbow strike from Geyts, against the cage.
Altudotis is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Geyts pulls him back up using the underhooks. Altudotis avoids a wild elbow strike from Geyts. Geyts lands an elbow that stopped Altudotis in his tracks for a moment. Altudotis takes an elbow to the forehead. Altudotis takes an elbow to the temple. Geyts lands an elbow inside. Altudotis successfully pulls guard.
Altudotis controls Geyts momentarily but Geyts frees himself. Altudotis has his foot on Geyts's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Geyts works his way back into a safe position though. Geyts tries to stand but Altudotis is controlling from the bottom. Altudotis manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Geyts manages to get himself to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Altudotis wants to control from the top but Geyts keeps moving. Geyts keeping full guard, as Altudotis tries to pass. Altudotis drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Altudotis as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Geyts screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Altudotis! Nice submission victory there!
