And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anton Greene!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watson scores with a head kick. Greene tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.


It looks like Anton Greene has been cut.
Thomas Watson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Greene keeps the fight on the outside.
Greene on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Greene lands with a thumping leg kick.
Watson connects with an inside leg kick.
Greene throws a leg kick that misses.
Watson wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
We've been informed that Greene has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Greene feints and then cracks Watson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Watson down.
Watson tries a low kick but Greene avoids it.
Watson sets himself, and Greene steps forward looking for the clinch! Watson avoids it this time.
Watson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Greene.
Greene throws a big shot that misses.
Greene connects with a crisp jab.
Greene lands a really nice looking cross but Watson seems unphased.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Greene closes the distance and clinches.
Watson on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Watson tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Greene misses with a knee to the head.
Greene working aggressively here.

Greene breaks the clinch.
Greene misses with a wild body shot.
Watson swings for the body but Greene moves out of range.
A head kick misses from Watson.
Greene steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Watson.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Greene uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Watson.
Watson feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Greene's calf.
Greene is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Watson darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Watson lands a high kick!


Greene is rocked!
Watson seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Watson steps in with a hook that catches Greene right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Watson follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Greene looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Thomas Watson!
In his post fight interview, Thomas Watson started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
