Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Morten Guldhammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guldhammer is looking to clinch but Silva is avoiding it.
Guldhammer takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
A decent looking cross lands there for Silva.
Silva misses with an uppercut. Guldhammer saw that one coming.
Guldhammer darts in trying to clinch
and Silva counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Silva displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Guldhammer.

Guldhammer throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Silva pushes Guldhammer off looking to stand but Guldhammer dives back in and keeps control.
Guldhammer is controlling the pace.
Guldhammer stalling away here and it's allowed Silva to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Guldhammer wants to stand and escape but instead Silva has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Guldhammer can't keep his opponent in guard - Silva advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Silva is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Silva has hold of Guldhammer's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Guldhammer manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Silva can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Guldhammer is looking to escape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silva is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Guldhammer to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Guldhammer shrugs it off.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Silva is landing with some decent strikes but Guldhammer is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Silva wants to control the pace but Guldhammer is squirming around nicely.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Silva wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Despite the aggression on Guldhammer's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Silva cracks Guldhammer with a right hand to the side of the head.

and Guldhammer counters with a body kick that stops Silva in his tracks momentarily.
Morten Guldhammer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice straight punches there by Silva. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Silva.
Silva throws a hook to the side of Guldhammer's head but Guldhammer sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Guldhammer is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Guldhammer uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Silva.
A slow jab from Silva misses its intended target.

Silva lands a left and a right that send Guldhammer crashing to the mat, dazed. Silva thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Silva rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Guldhammer moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Guldhammer seems to have recovered his senses.
Guldhammer goes for a double leg but Silva avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Silva continues to drive forward.

Oooooh!!! Silva has knocked Guldhammer down with a huge combo! Silva steps away and waves a wobbly Guldhammer back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Guldhammer shoots in looking for a takedown but Silva manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Guldhammer's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Silva lands a big uppercut and Guldhammer crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Guldhammer looks OK. Silva waves Guldhammer back to his feet!

Silva sends Guldhammer crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Silva is motioning to the referee to let Guldhammer up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

and Silva counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Guldhammer! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Silva!

After winning the bout, Daniel Silva thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
