Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Brighton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Roberto Hogan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mark Brighton! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brighton swings for the body but Hogan moves out of range.
Brighton tries to clinch but Hogan moves away and Hogan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Brighton's guard. Hogan tries to stand but Brighton is controlling from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brighton manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hogan wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Brighton has him pressed against the cage. Hogan controlling the action here for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brighton works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Hogan tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hogan has his hands on Brighton's head, controlling the position. Hogan tries to strike from the bottom.
Hogan is pulling down on Brighton's head. It's preventing any offense from Brighton, at least for the moment. Brighton wants to control from the top but Hogan keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hogan pulls Brighton in close to prevent any damage. Brighton preventing the sweep.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hogan shoots in but no luck this time. Brighton lands with a kick to the temple. Hogan shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Brighton cracks the inside of Hogan's front leg.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brighton is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hogan's half guard. Hogan wants to control the action here but instead Brighton manages to pass to full mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hogan sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Hogan tries to get to full guard but Brighton has control of the leg. Brighton is trying to control the action in half guard but Hogan is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Hogan is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Hogan's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hogan is pressing down on Brighton's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Hogan has his hands on Brighton's head, controlling the position. Hogan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Brighton is trying to stand back up but Hogan is controlling him
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Brighton dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Brighton drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Hogan managing to control the position. Hogan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Hogan looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hogan has his hands on Brighton's head, controlling the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hogan continues to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brighton trying to control the position from guard on top but Hogan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Hogan working for a triangle but Brighton defends it easily.
Hogan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Hogan tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Brighton closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hogan to the mat! Hogan manages to get full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hogan trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Mark Brighton has got the better of the ground game so far. Hogan pulls Brighton in to control the position. Hogan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Brighton doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Hogan is tightening it up a little... Brighton has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Brighton reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Brighton taps out! Nice BJJ there by Hogan!
