Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Glen Starner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amun Ra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
26 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Glen Starner! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
27 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Amun Ra! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ra fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Starner manages to avoid it. Starner uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ra.
Ra stuns Starner with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Ra has a takedown stuffed. It looked like Starner was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Starner lands with a right hand. Ra misses the jab. Ra connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Starner momentarily.
Ra throws a body punch but Starner moves out of range. Ra shoots in and drives through. Starner sprawls well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ra shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Starner napping and manages to drive through into side control! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ra in side control, throwing shots but Starner defends. Ra working the head and body with strikes. Starner manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Ra has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ra thows a huge punch but Starner dodges it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Starner on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Starner regains full guard. Nicely done. Ra wants to control from the top but Starner keeps moving. Starner looking for a sweep. Not yet Starner, not yet. Ra throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Starner works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Starner wants to sweep here but Ra controlling him for the moment. Starner is adopting a defensive guard. Ra connects with a couple of short punches. Ra with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Starner looking for a sweep. Not yet Starner, not yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Starner is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ra pushes down on Starner's leg and manages to get into half guard. Ra not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ra lands a nice short elbow. Ra passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Starner! The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ra cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Starner is rocked! Ra lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Starner! Ra sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Starner and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Amun Ra! Amun Ra is the new lightweight champion!
