Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rusev Hungary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shaun Mallard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rusev Hungary! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shaun Mallard! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hungary shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mallard sprawls well. Mallard wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hungary gets slowly back to his feet. Hungary forces Mallard back against the cage and clinches. Mallard has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hungary is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Mallard is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Mallard has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Hungary after a bit of a struggle. Rusev Hungary has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shaun Mallard. Mallard has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hungary is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Hungary stops a takedown attempt from Mallard.

Mallard has Hungary pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hungary manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mallard has Hungary pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Mallard turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Mallard manages to end up in side control. Hungary is trying to improve his position. Mallard looks up at the clock and then as Hungary takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Mallard smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
That's one minute gone in the round. Mallard working the ground and pound from side control. You can see the frustration on Hungary's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Mallard in side control, throwing shots but Hungary defends. Mallard in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Mallard fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Mallard lands an elbow. Hungary is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Mallard has just dragged him back down to the mat. Mallard misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Mallard misses with the ground and pound. Hungary taking punishment in the form of punches.
Hungary is rocked! Hungary tries to bench press Mallard off him but Mallard keeps the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hungary on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Oh Hungary is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Mallard landing a few strikes. Mallard cracks Hungary with a big right hand but Hungary just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Hungary is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Hungary tries to bench press Mallard off him but Mallard keeps the position. Hungary wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Mallard scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Hungary to see if he's OK. Hungary taking a bit of punishment here - Mallard scoring with strikes. Hungary is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Mallard has just dragged him back down to the mat. Mallard lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Hungary down.
Mallard lands a strong strike to the head of Hungary. That's dazed him! Mallard looking to finish here. Hungary is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Mallard lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shaun Mallard! During a confident post fight interview, Shaun Mallard thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
