Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Miquel Mcintosh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Albein Rock! The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Topper Green and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rock throws a jab when Mcintosh was well out of range. As Rock looks to move away, Mcintosh throws a big counter combo bu Rock just gets out of the way. Rock scores with a jab to the jaw.
It looks like Miquel Mcintosh has been cut. Mcintosh shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rock's guard. Rock wants to stand and escape but Mcintosh is having none of it. Mcintosh is standing up over Rock. Rock looks to escape but Mcintosh dives into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rock is trying to buck Mcintosh off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcintosh tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Rock dodges the ground and pound from Mcintosh. Rock is pushing Mcintosh's head away, looking to escape. Mcintosh manages to hold on to the position though.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Mcintosh rushes Rock and presses him up against the cage. Mcintosh really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The referee calls for Mcintosh to work.
Mcintosh manages to pull guard.
Rock has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Mcintosh is proving hard to escape from. Mcintosh keeping moving, preventing Rock from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rock pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mcintosh is keeping the position for now. Mcintosh wants to stand but Rock is controlling the position. Rock postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rock throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Mcintosh has his hands on Rock's head, controlling the position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Nice sprawl there from Rock as Mcintosh shoots in.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rock scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Mcintosh is rocked! Rock catches Mcintosh with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Mcintosh forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Albein Rock!
