Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lou Ferrigno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Marcolini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marcolini has chosen Raffaella Carra - Rumore as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marco Marcolini!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferrigno keeps the fight on the outside.
Marcolini changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Ferrigno takes one to the side of the head.
We've been hearing reports that Ferrigno has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Marcolini gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Ferrigno trying to control but Marcolini is working from the bottom.
Marcolini keeping full guard, as Ferrigno tries to pass.

Ferrigno is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Marcolini looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Marcolini escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ferrigno gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Marcolini wants to get back to his feet but Ferrigno is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Marcolini keeping full guard, as Ferrigno tries to pass.

Ferrigno thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ferrigno is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Marcolini looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Marcolini looking for a sweep. Not yet Marcolini, not yet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Marcolini wants to control the position but Ferrigno says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Ferrigno trying to pass the guard but Marcolini defending well.

Ferrigno is looking for a kimura here.
Marcolini tries to roll over but Ferrigno keeps him under control.
Marcolini makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Marcolini.
Marcolini tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Ferrigno trying to control but Marcolini is working from the bottom.
Marcolini keeping full guard, as Ferrigno tries to pass.
Ferrigno looking to sit in guard and control but Marcolini gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Ferrigno is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Marcolini defends well.
Marcolini passes Ferrigno's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Ferrigno is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Marcolini pulls his head out easily.
Marcolini trying to pass the guard but Ferrigno defending well.
Ferrigno tries to roll over but Marcolini keeps him under control.
Ferrigno is refusing to be controlled, as Marcolini sits in half guard.

Ferrigno looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Ferrigno is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Marcolini's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Marcolini's back!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Marcolini tries to escape but Ferrigno has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Marcolini defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Ferrigno's arms.
Ferrigno will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Marcolini is trying to defend against the choke here but Ferrigno has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Ferrigno Tightens the hold and Marcolini taps out furiously! Ferrigno displays superior BJJ to win the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Lou Ferrigno!
