And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Jose Mera!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleston throws a right and a left that Mera avoids nicely.
Coleston looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Mera closes the distance and clinches.
Coleston letting Mera take a breather here.

Coleston pulls guard effortlessly.
Mera stops Coleston from standing up.
Mera is pushing down on Coleston's leg trying to pass to half guard. Coleston is fighting to maintain full guard but Mera has managed to sneak the leg through.
Mera is controlling the pace.
Mera wants to pass to mount but Coleston is defending the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Coleston wants to control but Mera is keeping busy.
Mera looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Coleston tries to kick Mera off but Mera keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Mera scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Coleston is in trouble now - Mera has advanced to mount!
Coleston tries to hold on but Mera postures up.
Mera content just to control the position here.

Mera lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Mera controlling the pace for now.

Mera with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Coleston can't escape the position.

Mera looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Coleston really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mera works his way to his opponent's back.

Coleston is trying to defend against the choke here but Mera has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Mera Tightens the hold and Coleston taps out furiously! Mera displays superior BJJ to win the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jose Mera!
