PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zero Hero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nisse Indian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Indian is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Last of the Mohicans. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Zero Hero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nisse Indian!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Patrick Alders and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Indian displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Hero throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Indian tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hero half committed to a counter leg kick.
Hero takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Indian ducks right into an uppercut from Hero.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Hero.

Indian throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hero tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Indian is in Hero's guard.
Hero has control of Indian's left arm, preventing Indian from doing any damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Indian looking to pass the guard.

Indian stands up from guard. Let's bang!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Indian misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hero drops down looking for a counter takedown but Indian sprawls and moves away.
Indian checks a leg kick.
Indian fails with the takedown.
Hero attempts a counter takedown but Indian avoids it well and moves away.
Nisse Indian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hero lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.


It looks like Nisse Indian has been cut.
Indian connects with a nice looking jab.
Hero feints and then cracks Indian's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Indian down.
Indian throws an overhand right that lands on Hero's shoulder, as Hero tries to avoid the shot.
Hero jabs at Indian's body.
Hero is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Indian darts in looking for a takedown but Hero gets double underhooks and turns Indian into the cage.
Hero appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Hero scores with a kick to the midsection.
Indian looks winded!
Indian throws a looping overhand right but Hero ducks down to avoid it.
Indian misses with a straight left.
Hero drops down looking for a counter takedown but Indian sprawls and moves away.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hero moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Indian misses with a hook. Hero ducked under it nicely.
Hero lunges at Indian with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Indian's hand.
Hero misses with a wild combination.
Hero swats away the attempt to clinch by Indian.
Indian dodges the punch combination from Hero.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Indian.
Zero Hero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nisse Indian.
Hero swings for the body but Indian moves out of range.
Indian shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hero as he avoids it easily.
Hero ducks under a wild hook from Indian.
Indian just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromHero.
Hero looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Indian misses with an uppercut. Hero saw that one coming.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hero scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Indian misses with a straight left.
Indian checks a leg kick.
A chopping leg kick lands by Hero.
Hero throws a leg kick but Indian sees it coming and moves out of range.
Hero throws a sloppy head kick and Indian moves out of range easily.
Indian is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Hero tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Indian was well out of range. Poor timing from Hero.
Hero shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Hero is looking to wear down Indian with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Indian on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Hero throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Indian has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Hero.
Hero ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Hero throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Indian might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Indian throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hero sees it coming and avoids it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hero fakes the leg kick and cracks Indian in the body.
Indian misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Indian moves forwards but Hero connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Indian throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Hero counters with a double leg that slams his opponent to the canvas! Indian is in trouble here! Hero pounds away until the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Slam). Zero Hero!
During a confident post fight interview, Zero Hero thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
Nisse Indian spoke after the fight, saying 'my spirit will return my people will return'.
